Internet Crimes Against Children
The Illinois Attorney General’s Office provides training to Illinois law enforcement officers, prosecutors and other professionals such as educators and social workers. These trainings are constantly updated as technology and methodology change to include cutting edge programs designed to train police officers the proper methods to investigate high technology child exploitation cases as well as overviews of what predators and victims are doing online.

Illinois Computer Crime Institute for Law Enforcement
The Illinois Computer Crime Institute was formed as a joint project of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General and the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board.
The Institute's stated purpose was to develop and deliver a comprehensive computer crimes training curriculum to Illinois' law enforcement community. To do this, the Institute's Computer Forensics Specialists, who serve as members of the Attorney General's High Tech Crimes Unit, employ a hands-on training methodology utilizing a mobile training lab to instruct law enforcement professionals in the various facets of digital evidence recovery and Internet investigations.
Elderly Services Officers
Elderly Service Officer (ESO) Training is an intensive, week-long course designed to educate and sensitize police officers to issues that affect older citizens. Offered by the Attorney General's office, the program educates law enforcement officials to become aware of the needs and problems of the senior community and to play a more active role in preventing crimes against older people.

Firearm Restraining Order Training
Firearms Restraining Order is a civil court order that temporarily prohibits a person from possessing or buying firearms, ammunition, and firearm parts that could be assembled to make an operable firearm. The Attorney General’s Office provides training for law enforcement to explain the law concerning firearms when a person poses a significant danger to themselves or others.

Targeted Violence
Attorney General Raoul initiated a unique collaboration with the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) and other agencies to provides a series of trainings on behavioral threat assessment, an approach designed to help prevent mass casualty attacks. Our office has held numerous events for school administrators and school safety personnel. Law enforcement officers are encouraged to attend and may receive credit as applicable.
